Mai 2022 waren Fergal Lenehan und Luisa Conti im Rahmen des Tages der Vielfalt an der Friedrich-Schiller-Universit\u00e4t Jena mit einem Informationsstand vertreten.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Wir wollten von den Besucher*innen wissen: Welche Ideen habt ihr, um die FSU Jena inklusiver zu gestalten?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Im Laufe des Tages kamen einige Beitr\u00e4ge auf unseren Flipcharts zusammen, die wir an das Diversit\u00e4tsb\u00fcro weitergeleitet haben. Hier sind die Ergebnisse (auf Englisch):<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Classes in English (same topic, two languages)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All buildings should be wheelchair accessible<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">More transparency regarding sport and activities<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Central institution\/support centre for problems and questions of various kinds regarding orientation<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Let students choose their own name and title (Mr. Ms. Mx) for Friedolin, email and other university information services<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">New methods e.g. lecture at home and discussion together \u201cin public\u201d; including preferences mentioned by students, actual interaction<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">More guest lectures where people can talk about their own experiences<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Self reflection on discrimination, workshops on racism, cultural practices and structures<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Coming to terms with the colonial history of the FSU Jena, and academia in general<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Stimulate multilingualism<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Enlightenment regarding the plurality of disabilities that exist<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Smaller lecture halls, reserved spaces at the front for disabled people who may need them<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Access to a study place for people with many years of work experience<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recognising non-German qualifications<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">More time for the completion of studies and financial support for older people<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Further support for the diversity office; meaning more jobs and resources<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Situating diversity as one of the Leitbilder\/foundations of the mission statement of the university (at least three people wrote this)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Having laptops available that may be borrowed from the university library<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Having more hygiene product, such as tampons and sanitary towels, available in the bathrooms \u2013 including men\u2019s bathrooms<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Having case studies \u2013 for example in Legal Studies \u2013 with more diverse family models and people<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A better connection between the university and non-academic aspects of the community<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Barrier-free access for wheelchair users, including the use of ramps<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Taking the disadvantages accruing from Covid 19 (i.e. \u201cpublication gaps\u201d due to a lack of childcare) into consideration in job interview situations<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Further education for those in leadership roles<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mentoring\/tandem from\/for various groupings<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cultural sensitivity during semester introductions\/The employment of new personnel <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][\/et_pb_section]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Am 31.
